Rice is a staple is most African communities. We add rice to almost every dish and it can be eaten with a myriad of soups and sauces. If you are trying to healthy up our lifestyle, it is recommended to eat whole grain rice instead of white or refined rice which is low in nutrient quality. So many often ask, “how do I make my whole grain rice tasty”? Here is a great way to peep up whole grain rice and remove boring from your kitchen and it’s super easy too. Just add curry spice and fresh or dessicated coconut to your rice as you boil it. If you don’t have fresh or dessicated coconut, add coconut oil.
Curry Coconut Rice
Add peep to whole grain rice and remove boring out of your kitchen.
3 cups Rice
1 Tsp. Curry Powder
1/2 Shredded fresh Coconut
1 Tsp. extra virgin Coconut Oil (optional)
- Add curry powder and coconut oil or schredded fresh coconut and curry powder in a rice cooker or pot and add whole grain rice and water.
- Cook till rice is tender but not too soft.
- Serve with sauce of choice.
