Happy New Year 2017!
Another year has drawn to an end. And not just any year, but the most incredible year at Shape up African – SUPA. So far. There were ups and down, successes and failures but it was a year of growth overall. Here’s a summary of stuff that went down (and up) in the last twelve months.
A Recap of 2016
Whoa, 2016 has been nothing short of an amazing year for me personally and for my company Shape UP African – SUPA Consulting and I owe this successes and achievements to you all my beloved fans and followers. So permit me to share what we achieved with you. I’ll also give you some insight on what we have planned for 2017 because guess what? It’s not only about me, but it’s about us. Remember, we are in this together.
SUPA weight loss e-Book
We got our weight loss guide and e-cookbook out and we sold quite a number of copies. So shout out to each one of you who purchased the e-book, participated in our challenges and lost weight. You all are awesome and are the reason I do what I do.
Social media presence
Our SUPA family grew. We gained more subscribers, followers and fans on our social media pages. Here are our figures for 2016.
Website – 206 new subscribers
Instagram 1031 – new followers
Facebook – 1367 new fans
Twitter – 202 new followers
Pinterest – 5 new followers
These figures seem quite insignificant at first glance and as compared to high-profile blogs with huge numbers. But I am thrilled to see this much growth in one year, espcially as these numbers are my best figures yet. We are progressing friends though slowly and I am confident that this is just the beginning. I am very positive that there’s much more to come, guaranteed.
Blog posts & Youtube Videos
Ok. I must admit, I didn’t post regularly and I apologize for this. As you all know I had a baby late in 2015 and I took the year off to nurse her. Blog post were posted in the categories, lifestyle, recipes, challenges, and weight loss tips. I managed to publish 41 blog post and 3 Utube videos. This is about to change promise!

There’s a saying that goes like this: ‘If you want to go fast, go alone, if you want to go far go together’. I was given the opportinity to be the healthy lifestyle and food editor for I Rep Camer were I published several post and will continue to do so this year as well. Because I want to go far! 🙂
I was priviledged to speak at the 2016 African Health Congress on the benefits of eating African to reduce cardiovascular diseases and I am looking forward to many more speaking engagements.
In the media
This is the best thing that happened to me and SUPA in 2016. We got published in the Huffington Post guys! I still can’t believe it. If you missed the post, please check it out here. I was also featured in the ‘LoNam Magazine’, an African Diasporan and Lifestyle Magazin based in Germany. No doubt 2016 was my best year blogging ever. We also made first steps into e-commerce with our Amazon online shop to increase cash flow. And speaking of $$$, we just recently reintroduced Adsense so we hope to increase our revenue. This healthy foodie needs professional equipment to give you the best user experience on our various social media platforms, produce more professional videos and create even more professional resources for you. I appreciate you all shopping your healthy resources directly from our shop. By doing so, you support my ‘ministration’ and enable me to give you the best and most professional support.
What’s cooking in 2017?
2017 is here, and my team and I are going to bust our butts off to make it an even greater one. Here are some things we have in store for you guys this new year:
New Menus: Faith, Food & Fitness
Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. 3 John 1:2
This is the verse that will guide my 2017 as received in a dream on the 30th of December. I was reminder that to succed in this life, we should be able to balance faith and fitness with healthy food for good health and the level that we will prosper in all other areas of our lives, depends on the level our soul prospers. So this year, I want to share my life with you, my passion for Christ, love for food and my weight loss journey. I will blog on the 3 key aspects of my life: faith, food and fitness. The three aspects my life is built on. So that we can prosper our souls and all other things we lay our hands on.
There’s going to be a few new books from us guys. Watch out for the big reveal. We’ll let you know in due time. Patieeeeeeence!
